Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) / Business Operations

Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) or Business Operations systems provide integrated information and resource management functionality across all business processes of an organization. Contemporary ERP systems provide significant breadth and depth of functionality to support most business processes including purchasing, production, sales order processing, accounting, costing, inventory, distribution, human resources, customers, vendors, etc. ERP systems are configured and implemented according to a company's specific business operations and industry requirements. Today's ERP systems essentially run the end-to-end business operations of a company providing real-time, integrated transaction processing, management and visibility. While there are many specific benefits from implementing an ERP system, the most important benefit is enabling companies to meet and exceed their promises to customers by delivering exactly what, when, where they ordered, and do it profitably.
